It is the Department of Dragon Archives’ policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you or which you may provide to us on this site. This policy explains how we collect, use, safeguard, and otherwise make use of your personally identifiable information (“Personal Data”).
We will only collect and use your Personal Data where:
- we have lawful grounds to do so, including to comply with our legal obligations;
- we are performing a contract with you for our services; and
- we have legitimate interests in using your Personal Data and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests.
This policy is effective as of July 4th, 2026. We review our privacy practices on an ongoing basis, and as such we may change this privacy policy from time to time. Please check this page to ensure you are familiar with its current content.
Comments
When you leave a comment, we collect the data shown in the comments form along with your IP address and browser user agent string, to display the comment and help detect spam. An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it; the Gravatar service privacy policy is at automattic.com/privacy. After approval, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. Comments and their metadata are retained so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically.
If you leave a comment, you may opt in to cookies that save your name, email address, and website so you don’t have to fill in your details again; these cookies last for one year.
Newsletter
If you sign up for our newsletter, we use your email address only to send you news about the Department of Dragon Archives and related Borogrove Press books. Your information will never be sold, loaned, or traded. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link at the bottom of any newsletter, and unsubscribing is immediate.
Embedded content and links
Pages on this site may include embedded content (for example videos or images) from other websites, which behaves exactly as if you had visited the other website: it may collect data about you, use cookies, and embed additional third-party tracking. When you follow links to retailers, to Borogrove Press, or to other sites, the destination site’s privacy policy applies.
Your rights over your data
If you have left comments on this site, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us, and you can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
